amino-ester resins

This resin was originally designed as an substitut of a phenolic-formaldehyde based binder used for making heat insulation panels from mineral wool. Its major components can be derived from sugar. Application can be made either aqueous or with organic solvents.

Patent was filed. We expect it will be granted shortly.

A series of tests have also proven its usability in making composites with inorganic fibers as reinforcement. Specimens made with triaxial fiberglass (600 g/m²) showed a flexural modulus of more than 30.000 N/mm² and a flexural strength of 600 N/mm².
